Airborne magnetic and radiometric data of parts of Zamfara, North West Nigeria, were analysed to delineate the structural complexity, emplacement of porphyry intrusives and hydrothermal alteration zones with a view to deducing optimum areas of mineralisation. These mineral indicators were achieved with the Centre for Exploration Targeting (CET) grid, CET porphyry analysis, and radiometric ratio maps. The result indicated that the structures within the study area trend in the NE–SW, WNW–ESE, ENE–WSW, NW–SE and E–W directions. Areas with high structural complexity have a high occurrence of porphyry features indicating a strong probability for further ore deposition. The porphyry features and hydrothermally altered zones from the K/eTh ratio map showed more structural relationships that aided the migration of hydrothermal fluids that react with rock formation for subsequent alteration. Mineral indicators from the various methods were integrated to proffer promising areas of mineralisation within the study area.
