Abstract
This article discusses the issue (~/'saving users' time in Lihmries. Time is so crucial to individuals, organisations and even the Society. Libraries are established to provide il?/(mnation to users. The bulk of il?[ormatioli available in the library [/'not proper(v managed will cause users to get lost in the ocean o['infhrmation explosion. Saving users' time is one o(the major ohjectives (~(any library. This researcher discussed stmtegies that lihraries can put in place 'to save the time of librw:v users, such as proper organisation of the materials through effective cataloguing and class(fication, accurate shelving and she(f'reading, eff'ective and ~[ficient reference services, application of!CT in Libraries, User education programme etc. Based on these, it is recommended that libraries should as a matter o.ffact consider all these strategies in order to remain relevant in this present age.
