Abstract
Using two different methods, we approximately solved the Dirac equation and the Schrӧdinger equation with an inverted generalized hyperbolic potential in actual and exponential form. By varying the values of parameters a, b, c and d, we obtained energy eigenvalues for some well-known potential models. We have shown the behavior of ground state energy withα for some potential models. A comparison of the numerical results shows an excellent agreement between the energy eigenvalues of the hyperbolical potential and the inverted generalized hyperbolic potential.
